“The reason I do this job is that I like taking risks and I like being able to elevate new voices. I’ve benefitted from that and I want to be able to pass that on.” Radhika Jones, Editor in Chief of Vanity Fair, discusses how she was able to expand the magazine’s reach by embracing the evolution of culture, the importance of elevating new voices, and the creative ways people have tried to sneak into Vanity Fair’s famous Oscars party. #DailyShow #Comedy

Kal Penn seems to softball All interviews… not looking for adversarial but maybe digging deeper? Where is the ask on the cross talk/ what’s the opo position? I suppose the fundamental criticism is that Kal Penn seems too swooning.

“Allah takes up the souls at the time of their death and the ones which have not died, in their sleeping. Then He retains the souls of those against whom He had decreed death and send back the souls of others(to their bodies) till an appointed time.Surely there are Signs in this for a people who think deeply”.QURAN(39:42)

I am enjoying Kal letting his guests talk. And get the sense that each guest gets to ask on people they want to talk with. He is using his platform opportunity to introduce a larger audience to topics he is passionate about.

I might be missing something, but in today’s youth obsessed culture, is focusing on people 35 & younger groundbreaking? Seems more status quo IMO I guess.

What a snooze fest. I hope he doesn’t get the job as new host. It’s just been a bunch of who’s-who name-dropping and softball interviews with celebs. Yeah Kal, we know you know people, and that’s why you’re not one of us. Seriously, who gives a flying **** about Vanity Fair? Please select one of the black women, please please please. Both Wanda and Leslie killed it.

I feel like she crushed that interview. And mad respect for Kal giving her time to respond.
