You might have mentioned the Superbitch Pelosi is going to try to pass the cheap legislation without the expensive one.

What a total betrayal of the people.

We go through government shutdowns like every couple years tho. Remember Trump oversaw a government shutdown and so did Obama

The shutdown is inevitable and it’s not even that new at this point. It feels as if it happens every damn year. Shut down for over a month under Trump.
The US is 99% unlikely to default. Reasons? everyone in the senate has stocks, including republicans. They don’t want to lose millions of dollars. They care not about your thousands that will drop to 0, but their money becoming so worthless? No, they don’t want that to happen. If we’re going to go with the “It’s about ME ME ME” rationale either democrats OR republicans, they literally can not afford to hurt their ego through a default.

Why is it that the majority leader is Chuck Schumer and it’s Mitch who’s making all the calls? where the hell is our majority leader and why is the minority leader in charge?

I wonder how many other people have their fingers crossed hoping the USA collapses into oblivion.

Anyone feeling a sense of deja vu? I’m so sick of this debt ceiling thing. We had a break from it for the four year disaster that was the Trump presidency, and now we’re right back at it, predictably on schedule.
