I completely agree with the sentiment of Steven’s comment at the end, “hopefully with less bullets”. I just can’t help but think I wish he said “hopefully without bullets”.
It’s sad to think that somebody even is open-minded as Steven just defaulted to less bullets instead of no bullets at all. Really shows the mentality in America that shooting one another is just part of a debate.
Obviously this isn’t always the case but it just made me think, wow even Steven didn’t say no bullets. Which was probably very much what he meant by what he said.
Anyway very interesting and I’m looking forward to that Lincoln doc.

People who attack minorities are just trying to distract the majorities from what is wrong with them. And there is really something wrong with racists, among others. And if the majorities think these people only hate minorities, they are wrong. These people hate everyone, but they cannot hurt everyone, so they start with minorities.

I love that Stephen gave him the space to speak. So many hosts feel compelled to interject, joke, react… Stephen lets things breathe.

the use of Christianity/Bible to justify slavery shows us who the “white supremacist god” really is.

Makes sense why republicans do not want Americans to learn about slavery. Learning from our mistakes makes us smarter and harmonious. Confederacy and white supremacy seems the be the shtick that glues their party together.

It’s hard to follow him, he has a meandering way of telling a story.
