The great turf wars between tennis and pickleball players comes to a head as Michael Kosta recruits former pro and sports commentator Patrick McEnroe to narrate an epic pickleball showdown: Kosta and Ronny Chieng vs. The Pickleball Twins. #DailyShow #Pickleball #Tennis
I live in Phoenix and I think that all of our tennis courts have been converted to pickleball courts. And they’re always packed. I’ve never played it.
ReplyI love the pickleball and tennis beef 😂
ReplyAlbert is a bit of a local joke in nyc so nice to see daily show picking up on this clown! Great stuff!
ReplyThe first forty or so times I heard about this, I thought it was a Urban Dictionary term for mature swingers
ReplyI’m with Ronnie, “where are the pickles?”.
ReplyThis sounds like skiers vs snowboarders. lol
ReplyPeople, like the commenters below, actually hate on pickleball but never played it. “It’s for old people”, “It’s for people who can’t play tennis”.
ReplyI don’t get it. I started playing 6 months ago and I love it. I grew up in Brooklyn playing paddleball and handball every day. Pickleball feels like a sport to me.
🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDr. Melty Bob Saget
ReplyI kinda wanna play pickleball now.
ReplyPickleball is ping pong outside
ReplyGo Kosta!!!
ReplyI was a PE teacher in the 80s. Pickleball was well established at that time. The new attraction has me baffled. But if people are enjoying it, let it be.
Reply🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyThe “debate” is like watching people who like prime rib argue with people who prefer steak, while each side calls each other denigrating names.
Reply864th? according to McEnroe he mightve been the best female tennis player at least 😛
ReplyThis is so American – turning anything into a simplistic Us vs Them issue. I like the change of pace with these non-politician pieces.
ReplyIn filming this, did Kosta and McEnroe get a chance to play tennis?
ReplyIt was so convincing, I had to look it up on Wikipedia —>> Kosta played tennis on the ITF and ATP tour for two years before being hired as the Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach for the University of Michigan. While he was the assistant coach, he began to explore his interest in stand-up comedy and performed at local comedy clubs on the side. In 2005, Kosta began a full-time job as a stand-up comic based in Los Angeles. . . . WOW!
ReplyThe only thing I hate about pickleball is all the old people arriving in separate cars and taking all the parking space. There’s also no place for my kids and me to play pickleball because all the seniors refuse to leave the court.
