I’ve heard this question before where interviewers ask foreign actors about their feelings of becoming famous in the USA. And once again, I think about how becoming famous in USA is not necessarily a big deal or an achievement for every foreign actor just because Hollywood has more reach and popularity. It may be a goal for some but not for everyone.
I could see it in Lee Jung-jae’s face that he isn’t as overwhelemed about it as Stephen makes it sound. It’s not just Stephen but all interviewers make this question sound this way.

Americans are lovely people, but there is also subtle sense of arrogance that they feel by thinking they are the most popular kid on the block and people should be grateful to be friends with them. It can seem a little high-headed.

Pls remove the dubbing. Let them read the subtitles. Do better.

Lee Jung-jae, Pride of Korea! Also, excellent question about what viewers find uncomfortable about Squid Game, especially since I wanted to hear the answer from the cast themselves!

They could’ve just added English subtitles in post, instead of an English voiceover, we can’t even hear him talk

Il Mare is a 2000 South Korean film, starring Lee Jung-jae and Jun Ji-hyun, and directed by Lee Hyun-seung. The film was remade by Warner Brothers in 2006 as The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock
