Watching Sen. Ted Cruz criticize one of his books during the confirmation hearing for Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson did not deter author Ibram X. Kendi from pursuing his mission to encourage all Americans, especially children, to learn how to be antiracist. Check out Kendi’s two latest books, “Goodnight Racism” and “How to Raise an Antiracist,” available everywhere now. #Colbert #GoodnightRacism #IbramXKendi
Anti racist is the dumbest term ever , either you aren’t racist which is most people or you are
ReplyWith a nightime meeting with Lorane Bobert, make sure to wear “rain gear”.
ReplySome great points here.
ReplyVery interesting interview! I’m not American and had never heard of this author before, but hearing him speak here actually made me curious to read the book mentioned (plus, if Ted Cruz didn’t like it that’s probably a good sign lol).
ReplyAnd meanwhile, Texas now wants schools to rebrand slavery as “involuntary relocation”.
ReplyWhen the hairline is going but you just keep moving the goal posts.
ReplyYou forgot to mention Africans hunted down their own to sell, out of greed.
Replyat the end the point he raised should have been the main interview LMAo he looked stunned also when they cut it off 😂
ReplyBlack people are some of the most racist people I’ve ever come across. “There’s nothing wrong with them because of the colour of their skin” yes I agree, however they should apply that to their own thinking regarding non black people.
ReplyDo you know meaning of name😂😁
ReplyThis guy is amazing! So clear, level headed, earnest, sincere, authentic. In other words, the opposite of Ted Cruz. Of course Cruz didn’t read a word of the children’s book he brandished at Ms. Jackson’s hearing. So sickening to think of that horrible moment as possibly hurting her confirmation chances. Fortunately it appears to be very unlikely there was any damage at all. Still, it makes me almost heave to imagine an alternate evil universe where she loses to the machinations of this wretch and his sympathizers.
Kendi’s question “why can’t we expect white children to identify with white abolitionists?” just blows my mind with its simplicity, the way it instantly exposes the apparent subterfuge underlying so much of the “critique” of CRT.
Reply“Overt” or “Covert” Mike Flynn is a traitor. Period.
ReplyNow you get seat equal that’s….also
ReplyWhen a rabid animal gets in a corner, they get more vicious. Never forget that.
ReplyJust make mixed genetic only way to stop this…… How many years. …. 1000…and 1000…. Do ing. Only talking
ReplyMusings while watching this awesome interview
a) use the word “strive” in place of “fight” when talking about political goals; a small but powerful redirection
Replyb) to help us remember, as we redesign, build, and maintain our national cohesion as USA’ns, (spoiler alert: fascism need not apply🧑⚖️) we can encourage a new way of thinking by repurposing something we already recognize, “national ____ history month/week/day,” as (an example) our National Honor Wall Show-and-tell , lol or some such, as a way to celebrate any, each, and every one of the myriad pieces of the USA’n experience while reaffirming that “we” are the puzzle itself.
c) be a proactive antithesis-of-a-racist, even if no one is watching
This generation 95% okay but next? How to believe
ReplyAfrican Indian also mix is fast way.
ReplyKendi has become an obsessive target of hate for many on the right – they talk about him constantly, though they never read his work. Ted Cruz was just virtue signaling for the bigots when he held up Kendi’s book.
ReplyLet us have those politician’s accountable for their dereliction of the oath that they swore to.
