Bestselling author and Bloomberg Businessweek National Correspondent Joshua Green sits down with Jordan Klepper to discuss his latest book, “The Rebels,” about how economic populists like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have changed the Democratic party, and how Biden’s first-term financial successes and progressive economic policies could sway the 2024 election. #DailyShow #Comedy. #JoshuaGreen #2024Election
Warren and Sanders are too old, huh?
Replythe left feels like we never have done enough, the mids feel like they have. the right never even tries.
Replywhat happened to Jon Stewart?
ReplyThe far left has changed. It used to be about economic populism, now its about trans, gender, and affirmative action stuff, but independents don’t want that stuff like they wanted the economic populism
ReplyThe end music is too loud.
ReplyWho do we unite behind when Biden passes? Asking for Allie Phillips.
ReplyVoting 3rd party or not voting is giving your life away to others to control.
ReplyIt is simple @TheDailyShow
Replydemocracy
or
dictatorship
Which will you support?
dems grow, repubs calcify
ReplyGreat conversation Joshua and Jordan. Jordan or Jon in conversation with RFK Jr seems something voters should also see and hear about in this Presidential election cycle. Thank you to everyone at the Daily Show, cast, crew, writers, Jobs well done. B Positive (also my blood type if I reach out)
ReplyVoters are dissatisfied with a potus that supports genocide… we’re dissatisfied with both political parties supporting neoliberal economic policies.
ReplyJosh seems like a cool guy 😀
ReplyThe fact is Biden was the ‘safe’ bet, and not the “best” bet… but a reaction to Trump.
ReplyPeople should not be voting from a position of fear, but for having a chance to vote for another Democrat such as Ossoff, Warnock, or Katie Porter?
It’s really poor how we are all expecting so little.
Well, i am in the OPPOSITE of the GenZ & Millennials & i am suffering, because i am not in the MC or the WC, i am in the Retired-class. And i guess just not LOSING my SS & Medicare, is a W at this juncture? But, if i were voting on my OWN economic situation, i would vote for Anybody in The Squad! Bottom line, i am voting to Save our Democracy; for the most experienced on Foreign Relations to you know – spare us from WW3; for Womens’ Reproduction; for the Civil & Voting Rights, of ALL Americans, not just us UknoWhos – white folk. And hopefully to also pass Justice in Policing & Criminal INjustice reform, and oh yeah, for REPARATIONS!
ReplyCool piece
ReplyShills
ReplyWere it not, for the Progressives, & the Squad, i can’t imagine we would have gotten near as much out of Biden as we even did. In fact, the DINO’s like My own State’s – kurt schrader & a couple Senators – squashed the BBB; but STILL, alot of what DID get passed, did so, at the Pushing of our Progressive Dem Wing & they are the Direction we need moving forward! I’ll never forget when whiner Dem Abigail Spanberger proclaimed: ‘We didn’t vote for FDR!’ And i was like, under my breath: Well I DID!
ReplyPretty crazy that he mentions Warren first and diminishes the Bernie sanders campaigns (plural, he said singular)
ReplyOUTRO MUSIC IS EXTREMELY LOUD!
ReplyAnd yes, I’m posting this because I love your show and you’ve changed this lately and you don’t seem to know there’s been such a change otherwise you’d fix it by now 🙂
He’s wrong with his comment about what “caused” inflation… He completely left out the effects of the pandemic and it was a global inflation so it had nothing to do with our individual president
