ReplyI kept thinking of the Record Store from That ‘70s Show.
ReplyHe really is morphing into John Lithgow.

ReplyJames Spader’s memory reminded me of when we’d run out of a New Release title at Blockbuster, and they trained us to either push a different film of the same genre or another movie with the same star when we (inevitably) ran out of copies of tremendously popular films that they’d only sent us 7 copies of. 2 got eaten by VCRS the first week, 2 were never returned and 1 was stolen. A lot of people who came in to see Mike Nichols'(s?) “Angels in America” went home with The Graduate or Catch-22, which I don’t think was what they came looking for. It’s like someone coming in for “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” and your only on-shelf option is “Revolution #9 b/w “What’s the New Mary Jane?”
It feels morally wrong. 🙂
Also, am I having some kind of Mandela-effect moment, or did James Spader ever have his name credited as Spaader? I can’t get it out of my head that I’ve SEEN it, but also maybe it’s just bleed-over from learning the title “Baader-Meinhof” around the same time and having a TBI in the last couple of years… It just ‘feels’ like I’ve seen it so I’m wondering if anybody else has that recollection.
Also Also, The ‘Some Girls’ callback reference @4:21 was brilliantly understated.
Also also (also) Sorry: I just relocated to Michigan, and I think I underestimated the potency of gummies this evening.
ReplyI loved his ‘tastes like chicken scene’ in Roland Emmerich’s Stargate https://youtu.be/PU0JkXIN27g and his later ‘I smell like yak’ scene.
ReplyHe and Robert downy Jr. Started out in a movie with Kim Richards! I wish, I could remember the name of that movie now, it was in the 80s!
ReplyLord he was a handsome devil! He still looks good for his age and just as humorous as always!
The way he tells stories… You’d think he was still in character as Reddington.
ReplyHas he recorded any audio books? I NEED IT 😛
ReplyThis was an amazing story.
ReplyI love that he always sounds like he’s had a few drinks. Still a gorgeous heartthrob.
Reply“Where we’re always headed…the end of the segment.” I love how meta that got.
ReplyMadman or Genius?
ReplyYour vote decides.
Lmao I watched the Seinfeld episode where he makes that pharmacist joke just yesterday (and of course thought about it the second he mentioned it).
ReplyWhat a great interview!!
ReplyHow is this man so enchanting to listen to?????
ReplyWhere we’re always headed. The end of the segment.

ReplyI get paid over $87 per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless.
