James Spader’s memory reminded me of when we’d run out of a New Release title at Blockbuster, and they trained us to either push a different film of the same genre or another movie with the same star when we (inevitably) ran out of copies of tremendously popular films that they’d only sent us 7 copies of. 2 got eaten by VCRS the first week, 2 were never returned and 1 was stolen. A lot of people who came in to see Mike Nichols'(s?) “Angels in America” went home with The Graduate or Catch-22, which I don’t think was what they came looking for. It’s like someone coming in for “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” and your only on-shelf option is “Revolution #9 b/w “What’s the New Mary Jane?”
    It feels morally wrong. 🙂

Also, am I having some kind of Mandela-effect moment, or did James Spader ever have his name credited as Spaader? I can’t get it out of my head that I’ve SEEN it, but also maybe it’s just bleed-over from learning the title “Baader-Meinhof” around the same time and having a TBI in the last couple of years… It just ‘feels’ like I’ve seen it so I’m wondering if anybody else has that recollection.

Also Also, The ‘Some Girls’ callback reference @4:21 was brilliantly understated.

Also also (also) Sorry: I just relocated to Michigan, and I think I underestimated the potency of gummies this evening.

He and Robert downy Jr. Started out in a movie with Kim Richards! I wish, I could remember the name of that movie now, it was in the 80s!
Lord he was a handsome devil! He still looks good for his age and just as humorous as always!

The way he tells stories… You’d think he was still in character as Reddington.

I love that he always sounds like he’s had a few drinks. Still a gorgeous heartthrob.

Lmao I watched the Seinfeld episode where he makes that pharmacist joke just yesterday (and of course thought about it the second he mentioned it).
