Legendary comedian Steven Wright makes his first appearance on The Late Show, much to the delight of superfan Stephen Colbert. Watch as they talk about everything from Johnny Carson to Jesus, and how coffee helps ignite Steven’s joke-writing process. Steven Wright’s first book, “Harold,” is available now.

His upper lip sure is STIFF!
ReplyMaybe his coffee has permanently damaged it????
Steven Wright wrote a book…but I don’t have the time to hear him read it.
ReplySometimes I’m happy to be ‘an old’.
ReplyI love his surreal way of thinking.
ReplyWhen you see a New Yorker that looks like Steven never assume they are poor and homeless. Most of them look like that on purpose so they can go out in public an never worry about being mugged in New York City because nobody would mug a homeless person that looked like that.
ReplyThat “electric” bit is the first time I’ve uncontrollably laughed out loud in front of my computer in a long time.
ReplyLove, just love Steven Wright. A fan for decades.
Reply“God’s Plan”:
ReplyIs it the plan that children starve to death, get beaten, get raped, get murdered?
If so, horrible plan infallible idol!
That was an awkward interview
ReplyIt’s no mistake the industrial revolution happened once coffee somewhat replaced alcohol in Europe. Even a little coffee changed everything.
ReplyMy favourite was when he bought a house in the middle of the freeway. It was nice but he had to leave his drive at 70mph.
ReplyCoffee: Downfall of the species.
ReplySteven Wright was one of my favs back in the 80s for many years into the 90s, along w Gallagher. Both their humor, different styles but was next level genius. Constant roaring laughter nonstop would have my jaw sore afterwards. Their comedy goes in the all time highest category hall of fame.
ReplyRon Howard has gotten OLD….
Reply“Tinsel”
Reply“I put spot remover on my dog and now he’s gone” ..stuck in my head🤪
ReplyHe is a lot older than he was when he was younger? anyone else notice that?
ReplySeeing Steven laugh like that is genuinely awesome but also unsettling and I love it.
