Cat Bohannon, researcher and New York Times Bestselling author of “Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution,” stops by to discuss some of the crazy ways the female body has evolved to survive reproduction, why the female body has historically been left out of biological and medical research, and how men can actually live longer, healthier lives without testicles. #DailyShow #CatBohannon
Awesome! I wonder if theres an analogue in women to castrated men living longer. Removal of ovaries?
ReplyI studied evolutionary biology back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. *She* didn’t discover this stuff. And the bias against studying female biology was only prevalent in medicine, not evolutionary biology. This is militant, misandrous, feminist garbage. If The Daily Show keeps going down this path, as a liberal male, I’m going to go somewhere else.
Reply6:45 amazing. Nature is so perfect
ReplyI want to listen to Cat more, but her sorta condescending, constant ‘Yeah(?)’s lose me.
ReplyAs a physician here, she should give talks at Medical Schools.
ReplyWe did acknowledge the difference in sexes in clinical studies, but she reframes it emphatically, relevantly and interestingly.
Amazing!!!
ReplyThis woman is acomedic genius – she should make a show out of this stuff.
ReplyAs a CIS man, I’m going to make a possibly (likely) controversial comment. She’s brilliant, she’s funny, and as somebody who loves redheads, she’s my dream woman. Please note that brilliant and funny are the comments that I made first…Please read this the way that I meant it.
Reply😂😂 Silverman does not like that woman being funnier than her and that woman does not care one bit 😂
ReplyI could listen to them talk all day, that was awesome!
ReplyI imagine this video will blow up if the title is “Castration for a longer life” or something like that

ReplyThese two are gold.
ReplyI’ve hear a lot about women being neglected by medical research when it comes to common diseases between men and women, such as heart attacks. We need equity!
ReplyWith all these discoveries about the bond between mother and child, it still amazes me that they’re still trying to attribute the intricacies of that chemical exchange to evolution.
ReplyIt’s also getting to be hilarious watching them try to advocate for women, while still casually asserting that women aren’t actually a completely separate thing. 🤣🤣🤣 @ TDS tryna have they cake and eat it too!!
Why not both?
ReplyAmazing …
ReplyIf she wasn’t trying so hard to be funny, and falling on her face, she might have something worthwhile to say. But we’ll never know.
