What I like about Jon Stewart is that he is never threatened by other talented people. He lifts them up and makes them even more successful and many of them go onto do bigger and better things after his show.

ReplyJon has changed. I watched it happening to Bill Maher too. The anti-vax gullibility seems to grow with age. Maher grew from skeptical of right wing memes to being much less skeptical of conspiracy theories relying on anti-science ignorance.
ReplyI could not be happier that Jon is back. But today I am not 20 anymore and staying up to 11pm won’t happen for me. I get up at 230am for work. I still hope I can catch the show the next day at least.

ReplyJon was terrific, but his exit during the Trump administration seemed to be a fleeing and hiding. I was interested in watching this interview because I wanted to see if he would mention the massive, most crucial issue today – Israel’s genocide of millions of Palestinians. But no. Not a peep. As far as I know, he hasn’t mentioned it anywhere. This seems a major cop-out and desertion of his Progressive audience, 80 percent of whom want an immediate CEASEFIRE in Gaza. Unless he does a quick and complete coming out on this most defining issue of our times, my fear he has become neutered will remain. — The comedian who seems most poised to take on the real issues is Stewart protege, Bassem Youseff.
ReplyI love Jon, but them dropping Minhaj is a little bit messed up. He was the perfect Trevor replacement. That whole hit piece was disgusting and not backed up in facts.
