My Daughter, Grandson and I were in the audience of TKAM back in Aug. 2019. One of the best nights of my life. Everyone in it was Great ! I also got to see Jeff many years ago with my late husband at our local theater. We loved his singing and humor. I have an autographed CD. LOVE—Blue Valiant !! We live about 1/2 hr from Jeff, so we have always been very interested in him. Such a talented man…… We also got to see a Stephen Colbert taping !!! What great memories !!!

What’s the deal with the, “let me announce the next banal question I think I need to ask next” spiel. “I’m gonna ask him about eh….the beginning of his career, all the great directors you worked with. Be ready for that.” Aren’t your awkward segues between any substantive chatter already disqualifying you from being any sort of an interesting interviewer? Stephen Colbert, he puts on a good monologue, but is the absolute worst interviewer of any other late night show. Seriously seems as though he is on the most awkward first date imaginable with any guest he speaks with. Take a few notes from Carson, Letterman, Leno, Conan, or Nortan. #Oxford comma

“Get educated.” Exactly. That would lead to a New America. History provides all the lessons we need in order to make a socio-political judgment; to take personal accountability – AND to achieve empathy, which is the hardest thing for any human being to learn. The community cannot survive without the individual, and the individual can’t survive without the community.

Because of people like Stephen and Jeff, I have hope in a time of great trouble. Identity politics are the challenge that may overwhelm all of our progress. Knowledge is power folks!

I can’t see Jeff Daniels without hearing him scream “Bayonets!!” as his character Lawrence Chamberlain in “Gettysburg”, a role for which he desperately deserved an award.

2:40 It is absolutely despicable that the Rightist agenda has turned the word “woke” into an insult or crime. It’s part of their agenda. It’s only the Rightists that can actively drive an idea that being aware is a bad thing. “Woke” is being aware, nothing crafty or devious about it.

The audiences cackling and applause really sucks for such a heavy topic. Anyway, I appreciate what he’s saying.
