ReplyRivers Cuomo was the sole inspiration behind my decision to start playing guitar, I saw him in the music video for “Hash Pipe” – and thought “I look like a nerd, he looks like a nerd, but he absolutely shreds and looks so badass! I want to be like him!!!” Still playing, and I still think of Rivers every time I see a beige or green stratocaster.

ReplyNOT appreciating the Connecticut diss!!! If you were “not exposed” to good music here, that is on you and your friends and family!! We have Merle’s Record Rack, which os infinitely better than a “big box” store like tower records. We have Toad’s Place. Back in the day we had the Blue Grotto. Friends from NY, like the Ramones and Blue Oyster Cult got started in the tri state area. BOC will be here this week for the 50th anniversary tour.
