ReplyA democratic society is one of the ppl, by the ppl, and for the ppl. Authoritarian govt does what it wants. AOC said that Adams said that NYC couldn’t take more illegal immigrants (federal crime), but she is lying. When she was at the press conference, those were NYC citizens (of the ppl) saying it very loudly. What is happening is that the ppl breaking federal law is being rewarded with work permits to undermine paying citizens a fare wage; given resources from local, state, and federal taxpayers; being allowed to skip the line for legal immigration, while causing those following the immigration process to wait longer. All by design to take advantage of ppl for cheap labor with hopes that they will show gratitude and vote for them if they bc citizens, while ignoring the actual citizens that did vote for them. It is crazy how many homeless citizens are in NYC, that they don’t help. They don’t provide anywhere near the financial assistance to any struggling citizens of NYC. And you asked what have they been doing in congress? Everything but support their base, which is the black community.
