ReplyIt is my confident assertion: an overwhelming weight of scientifically researched evidence points clearly toward a ‘natural’ outbreak. 1. Early Covid case tracing in Wuhan locates the emergent outbreak around the wet market, in particular the section hosting cages of notoriously poorly kept rat-dogs. 2. Several ‘cousin’ viruses/virii have been recorded amongst bat populations on the Chinese border with Laos.
This doesn’t preclude the possibility that the natural virus that caused the outbreak might have spent time in a lab. Possible, much less plausible than yet another dangerous pathogen from poor animal husbandry.
Btw. Most of our common human diseases are derived from the animals we’ve had around us for the past several millennia. Shouldn’t we be doing better already?
