Regardless, Fetterman is a far better man than Oz could ever be. His condition now is normal for many recovering from a stroke. I’ve personally seen a family member suffer the same thing and they recovered after the stroke. Both physically and mentally. Fetterman will get better as time goes by. “Dr.” Oz will always be the snake oil salesman/grifter he’s always been. In other words, he will always be garbage. Fetterman is a good man that had a stroke and he’s getting better. I have confidence that he will be elected and will serve with distinction. Oz would be nothing but a man mired in scandals.

Feterman will likely recover 90% but his competition are terminally impaired.

Why sooo short?! That could have been an awesome overtime if they actually did a normal overtime. Less than 5 minutes is criminal when you have such great guests, especially Dr. Tyson.

I cant imagine being Tyson and having to explain the same simple shit over and over and over. Things everyone should have learned in HS biology, and he’s an astrophysicist. It’s like asking Lebron James to teach 14 year olds how to kick a field goal.

Thanks Bill for bringing up the flu season, because i unsubbed from StarTalk when my comments got deleted every time i mentioned any negative effects from the restrictions when they had a video related to the pandemic.
Neil sent out a Tweet at the beginning of all this, to compare deaths from all kinds of diseases to the “flu” and people gave him excrement for it, so is he scared to talk honestly about it, or did he “change his mind”.
It’s just very disappointing, to see people either cowtow or just be delusional about these things, like wearing masks outside.

It’s also a weak argument to say that we didn’t have alternative solutions to compare to, because there were many countries that did not double down on vax/boosters, and what was the difference?
(As Michael later pointed out with the Florida/California data, and Bill with the Sweden example.)

(Glad you called him out on that, Bill, i paused the show right after Neil uttered that sentence to comment here, before you called him out.. haha, as i just got furious at the argument, so, i was maybe premature in writing that, but i’ll keep it here and add things between parentheses while the show progresses, because Bill and Michael agree, so it is allowed to be said, right?)

It is frustrating to be muffled before and getting banned at places, that now suddenly start saying what i couldn’t say before (like Michael also brought up), a tactic that is definitely not making many friends.
And it mostly came from one side of the political aisle, a side that i used to be friendly with.
Things have changed, but i did not change.

(btw wow, that last comment from Neil about not getting covid? Geez… i hate it when he gets arrogant like this.
I’m a sanitation worker, cleaning streets, picking up litter and other garbage people throw out, considered to be essential by the flu crowd, despite having a minimum wage as a “reward” for being essential, nevertheless, i went to work every day when many people were sitting scared at home.
I haven’t been sick since October last year and i don’t know if i even caught IT, i had the sniffles 4 times over the previous 2 years in March and October usually because of seasonal changes, got tested twice and both were negative, and none of my sniffle bouts were worse than the other.
I did not get the jab, i wore cloth masks where needed and i sometimes keep a distance but that’s just what i prefer since i’m not a close talker, but yeah, i’m Dutch, 38 and slim, i walk about 8-10 miles outside during my job, so i keep in shape, i smoke tobacco and weed and eat unhealthily, sleep irregularly etc., but eh, had no issues.
One size fits all… well, i could sure fit into one of the shirt people of today wear…. but they can’t breathe in one of my shirts.)

Very happy that you pushed back hard on Neil’s argument, that was a great discussion and you actually beat him on it, because Neil’s limitation was his political affiliation because _real_ science doesn’t work like that and he knows it, and he had to give in at the end with a fist bump.
    Great job on that one!

But Bill, tactical nukes ARE a different type, it’s not rocket science.. well, it _is_ .. but not everything is hard to understand.
As a fellow stoner to another, if i can know this, so could you.

    I was glad that Michael made some comparisons to Israel when talking about Ukraine, although he didn’t make the point that i want him to make, that i have been saying for months but nobody listens or my comments get hidden (i expect the same for this one);
Ukraine will be Europa’s Israel, any Ukrainian leader will keep raising the alarms and keep their population “pure” and keep Russians out, even if those people think it used to be their territory (sounds familiar?).
Ukraine will be ripped into 2, with a puppet State for Russia and USA/NATO at the end of it, with a strip of land in the middle that will be disputed like Gaza, to keep the conflict going and have Ukraine receive more weapons in turn for doing USA/NATO’s bidding.
If it leads to peace, fine, but as we see from Nathan Yahoo himself, peace is still not happening over there, and WWII was quite a while ago.

But still, great show, got me pumped for sure, haha

I did not even watch this, because Tyson is so full of crap that I had to stop watching the main episode. His assertion that Fusion (hydrogen) bombs do not produce fallout, and that it is only an effect of atomic fission bombs like Hiroshima, is Flat Out False. First of all, all fusion weapons have a Fission bomb at their core to begin the chain reaction to the Fusion part of the weapon. Every single thing that he said about the subject was Wrong. When Bill asked him to clarify, he went silent. Because he didn’t know the answer and is talking out of his fame hole.

Sorry bill – one in four people got covid in Sweden and one in three in the US – Sweden has the equivalent deaths of around 660,000 – USA 1 million.

Infinitely fitter , less diabetes and less fat in Sweden and much less populated. So no you cant say what would have happened based on another country

You’d think that the side that believes in science would be aware that the cosmic calendar is being debunked.

Smerconish was spot on. I was thinking the same thing about Fetterman, but it ruins Bill’s narrative about bad GOP candidates, even though the premise Bill had was reasonable.
