In this specific case, the Crumbleys were highly negligent in addressing the behaviors and issues that led to the event. The court was right to convict them.
if you think about it, if you go back a few generations we’re all related, so you could trace the ancestry back to those founding fathers who wrote the constitution and the second amendment…
This is a bad reactionary take. In the case that is being referenced, the parents bought their kid a gun knowing he was dealing with bullies, suicidal ideation, and had made plans to get revenge on his bullies. It was gross negligence and knowingly enabling their kid to commit harm.
Yeah I agree. We are so backwards today. Guns are the problem but we are so scared as a nation of our shadow/past, we are going backwards as a nation like the walking dead and robots/AI are going to take over us eventually
Yep. The parents are pretty disgusting for leaving weapons around. Kids are bullied relentlessly no doubt. Making it to 20 years old is a tour through Nam for some kids
Not the first time. The mother of the 6 year old in Virginia got 2 years in prison for her son, and the Assistant principal is charged as well, but in Texas no charges for Uvalde. Parents have always been liable when a child commits a crime with a firearm that wasn’t properly stored.
Well 40 years ago parents were ALWAYS HELD LEAGLY LIABLE for thier not yet adult children. I own a gun And I believe we’ll regulated constitutes no infringement but also parents are responsible for thier children and the children’s actions
I wanted to laugh but could not that did not happen in this particular case. The parent knew their child was not mentally stable instead of taking him to therapy they bought him a gun.

ReplyGuns are already highly regulated.

ReplyAbout time. 👍🏽👍🏽
Replystill the parents are very responsible
ReplyIn this specific case it makes sense to charge the parents because they bought him the gun and ignored his mental health problems

ReplyREGULATE LAWS ON GUNS AND BE DONE WITH IT.
ReplyAt this point, regulation may be our only hope. There are so many guns out there – what can we do??
ReplyYet gun/ammo manufacturers are not held accountable
ReplyThey did hand him the weapons.
ReplyWe will never regulate guns, because the dumbest people in the nation are the only ones who are listened too.
ReplyThis isn’t funny. Y’all are not able to read the room.
