There really is such a thing as the “deep state.” But it’s not the one MAGA Nation is freaked out about.

Wind farms are far and away one of the most environmentally destructive moves ever. The entire natural landscape looks like a pinwheel factory now.

    “…You’re not a city. You’re an airline.”

I’m still hoping the San Andreas fault can make them an ocean cruise line.

So it’s the liberals in Wyoming, which is a very, very red state, that caused the hold up for that wind farm.
My god they’re diabolical aren’t they. And here I thought it was more likely big energy concerns using the bureaucracy they run to bog it down. Good to know the liberal minority was able to thwart the GOP majority.
New Rule. Bill Maher can quit pretending to be a liberal. He only actually acts like one when it’s convenient. When liberals are in power he spends his time acting like Sean Hannity’s bestie and bashing the liberals that are in power instead of trying to support them. This way he can pretend to be above it all and holding them to a higher standard. Because he smoked pot at some point…
Stop it Bill. You’re a boomer. You sound like a Boomer. You act like a boomer. You look like a Boomer. After checking your age, you are a Boomer.

If it were a do-over, I’d vote to never make Mt. Rushmore to begin with. And I doubt Bill Maher or America ever truly ‘wasted two years apologizing to Indians,’

It’s not just permitting, it’s also about eminent domain. You can’t build a transmission line from Wyoming to California without crossing multiple states and 700 miles, not all of that will be state or federal land.

Take a look at California’s high speed rail, for instance. That would cut across so many property lines and it would only take a holdout or two to screw up the whole project. It’s not just bureaucracy, it’s respecting property rights.

An environmental assessment isn’t primarily about assessing the impact on the natural environment. The word ‘environment’ is used very broadly here for the engineering environment, social environment, and other things I’m forgetting. (Though I agree with the broad point made here. These things take too long)

Slowly by surly, bill is becoming a grandpa yelling at a cloud. He can’t handle the fact that hes not relevant anymore.

China doesn’t have these issues! They want something built..it’s built! They don’t scratch their asses for 18 years!
We need to abandon democracy and elections right now and allow Biden to become our supreme leader until he dies or become to deranged to lead! We will then worry what to do next year when selecting a new supreme leader.

Bills guest panel feels stagnant. It’s like all the same boring regulars. Bill used to have different guests more often, not the most boring guests repeatedly. I guess people don’t like to go on his show as much anymore

Weaving profit motive into public works is responsible for a lot of this, it should be about helping people, not making money, capitalism corruption is a serious problem in our bureaucratic system.

Same here in the UK, we look at what France gets done and back here an army of mediocre special interests delay progress.

Some times Bill is just gullible. The FBI should have to wear bright red arm bands with Adolphs gestapo symbol when they’re doing political raids on republicans. The FBI is the enforcement arm of the democrat fascists
