ReplyHer acting break probably had a lot to do with bad PR. She left her long marriage with Dennis Quaid (and her kids) to pursue a 6-month fling with Russel Crowe. It ran counter to her ideal-girlfriend romcom image. Suddenly women couldn’t project themselves onto her, and men couldn’t idealize her characters – All they saw was the woman who left her husband & child to nail the Gladiator.

ReplyIt sounds cruel but her plastic surgery is just too hard to ignore, she looks like the Joker. She seems so uncomfortable in her skin. I can’t help but wonder how well she would have aged without any of it.
