Mayan Lopez, co-creator, writer, and star of the NBC sitcom “Lopez vs. Lopez,” talks to Dulcé Sloan about the responsibility of being the only Latino-centered sitcom on TV right now. She discusses making her own name in comedy while working with her dad, playing a fictionalized version of herself, and using the show to have difficult conversations about family and identity. #DailyShow #LopezvsLopez #Latino
I love that show.
ReplyIf they were to adopt the matchless weapon of non-violence whose use their best Prophets have taught and which Jesus the Jew who gladly wore the crown of thorns bequeathed to a groaning world, their case would be the world’s and I have no doubt that among the many things that the Jews have given to the world, this would be the best and the brightest. ~Mahatma Gandhi

Claim your Indigenous Identity.
Similar to Speaking,English,Speaking Spanish (and Portuguese) is a way to communicate with Human people we have common unity with.
Get it? Common+unity=Community.
Not understanding Spanish causes you to negate billions of our *Indigenous (not “Hispanic”. Not “Latino”) relatives across our continent. You are missing out on entire worlds of our ideas, narratives, history and beliefs.
You don’t represent us Because you cannot represent a people you don’t fully comprehend.
