Reply0:31 That’s true. It always struck me as funny how badly Letterman and Conan wanted The Tonight Show but didn’t get it (or got it and lost it quickly). But they did what Carson did: Influenced comedy and gave stars their big breaking moments. Leno won the ratings (consistently) but what exactly is his legacy after his show in terms of influence or impact?
