ReplyThe king is back! I want to shout out Mr. Trevor Noah, though. It was hard to accept literally anybody other than Stewart when Noah took over, and it took me a while to warm up to his very different style, but I honestly think he was exactly the right guy for the job at that moment in history, and he did awesome. It would be great to see him pop back in occasionally as a guest host
ReplyThat all may be true, but after the first segment I saw, Jon absolutely blew it right out of the box. It was horrible. It lacked any sense of context. He seemed to be trying to equate Biden and Trump from the standpoint of age. That’s not the f***ing point, and I was tremendously disappointed that he spent nearly half an hour blasting Biden for his age and other flaws. Shame on the team for allowing that disaster to happen. If that’s the tone he wants to set, it’s only going to add to the complete s**tshow this year will become.
ReplyThis election year needs all SNL heavy hitters on deck. Jon Stewart on Mondays, and keep rotating great comedians the rest of the week. All the guest hosts have been outstanding. I would like to see each of them brought back.

ReplyI imagine his return as them sitting in a room trying to figure out what to do about a permanent host like the famous Rick Pitino speech “Jon Stewart isn’t walking through that door” and then Jon Stewart walks through the door.
