So here’s a thought…… all of these A’Holes running for the offices spend millions and millions every election on advertising and bribery, facts. Make the people running for office PAY the pole workers a decent wage. If you want your votes tallied then pay for it!!!!
this was a concern to me when my then-BF was working at the polls. granted, despite living in a city where both liberal and conservative values are the norm, the majority of the population is quite civil and any “protests” from the far-right are simply lackluster. but that worry was, is, still legitimate.
This is happening because of Donald Trump, and Rudy Giuliani claiming the two Black Poll workers were stuffing ballot boxes fraudulent Ballots, and they received death threats. And People know that if Donald Trump gets the chance to run again, he will be claiming the same thing again, that People are stuffing the ballot boxes, and want to be in spot, getting threats on their lives.
This is the same situation with the IRS. Agents & administration are retiring etc. But republikkkans lie & fear monger that the government’s hiring more of them to come after us. Less IRS workers means EXTREMELY LATE returns ppl! INEFFICENTCY!!!
*Poll workers. It’s not just the online ridicule or shunning by community members, it’s genuine fear for their physical safety! Look what happened to Ruby Freeman & her daughter!
