If climate change soon renders parts of the U.S. uninhabitable, then where are all the coastal elites supposed to go? Michael Kosta takes a trip to Duluth, Minnesota, the city of the future, to investigate how Californian climate refugees and displaced New Yorkers might fare in this snowy sanctuary city. #Duluth #DailyShow #MichaelKosta
Duluth born, folks moved and would love to go back.
ReplyI live in Central Ohio. I have always thought about living somewhere else but we are in the perfect spot here and in 20 years my house will be beach front 😂
ReplyDuluth is an interesting town. A lot more educated and more liberals than expected. Approved. 😊
ReplyIn my backyard, looking out the window at Georgian Bay (Lake Huron) over a sheet of glistening snow; gee, Duluth looks almost as nice as Canada.
ReplyDuluth is for us. Find another place to go. Not Minnesota.
ReplyThey had me at not knowing what Balenciaga is. My people!
ReplyWent to and graduated from UMD. Duluth is a great city, just a little chilly at times lol.
Replysaw a video on this. southern MN here 🙂
ReplyReminds me of Canada 😂
ReplyHey, so heads up, there has been basically no snow in Minnesota this year, and it has been mostly above freezing. I can’t recall ever having such a winter in MN. It’s kind of existentially terrifying.
ReplyCold keeps out the cowards
ReplyThere are two different temps in the summer; by the lake and over the hill (which is the old shoreline). It can be a 10-15 degree difference in only 1-2 miles. It’s the birthplace of Bob Dylan, but they downplay that fact.
ReplyMaga GOPhers now believe in man made climate change if China does it…smh.
ReplyIt’s been 50 degrees for 2 weeks in Boston. It was 45 degrees all Christmas break. The average temperature is supposed to be 20 degrees. It’s been like this for half a decade now. The Atlantic Ocean is warming so quickly that Boston is One of the fastest warming places in the world. I thought about retreating to Vermont, but half of Vermont just got wiped out by record flooding. And the rest had crops killed by a sudden frost
Replyhe looks like Jimmy Kimmel’s brother… his eyes
ReplyI lived in Bemidji for grad school, I can attest that it’s way worse than Duluth 😅
ReplyBeing from WI we laughed and loved this segment 😂❤
ReplyI looking to retire in Maine for the same reason.
Replyonly been to Duluth once, but really liked it ! Lake Superior coastline is awesome, all the way from Sault Saint Marie to the Minnesota-Canada border. And the Canadian Lake Superior shoreline may be even nicer. But for any southerners reading this, full disclosure, I like winter and 4 seasons climate zones, you might not, lol.
ReplyClown show.
