I’d be honored to have him tell me to boil my head.

    Um… a bawbag is… well, a ‘ball bag’.

I like that he sounds more Scottish as the segment goes on.

I didn’t know what Barry meant either. Wonder what area it’s from? Bawbag means scrotum. A good number of years ago we had a bad storm (by Scottish standards anyway) that got nicknamed Hurricane Bawbag. The name was used on an English radio or tv program and they later had to issue an apology because they hadn’t realised it was rude!

I can easily see uses for lavvy heid. Trump looks absolutely totally lavvy heid, for example. He looks positively dunked.

It’s not Barry it’s BAAri. We use nearly all of these in Northumbria.

Baw bag is your testicle sack, scrotum, the skin that carries your balls, Crown Jewels, family heirlooms, your fruit and vege, your walnuts, gonads!

Is he serious about not knowing what bawbag means? Bawbag. Ball bag. Scrotum. Yeah it *can* be affectionate, but not always.

One of our finest Shakespearean actors giving it the full-on f*ck off and die thing.
    That fairly gladdens the heart.

Honestly shocked to have a tiny link between this segment and the Ren & Stimpy show. In the “Happy Happy, Joy Joy” song, Stinky Wizzleteats comments “I’ll teach your grandmother to suck eggs!” and it’s very cool to know how that ties to this Scottish slang!

i would love to get me’self a dictionary of slang words from the Scots and Irish language, see how many YouTube will flag for with my sailor mouth whenever i post comments that would make a 1980s yuppie faint like i was saying “hell” as a swear even though i was describing the biblical place compared to the pain i had stubbing my toe the other day.

Crikey, get a farfin’ linguist next time. If you’re absolutely determined to put Brian Cox on the air, at least get the physicist one.
