It’s weird how other countries just build pedestrian bridges to prevent school children from dying on the tracks 🙄
Reply“Creepy” Elmo? I didn’t know there was any other kind!
ReplyI can’t believe we didn’t see the zoo animals running all through the town after the train derailment.
ReplyRepeal the Railway Labor Act!
ReplyI applaude the person who wrote the “only work in one direction”-joke
They deserve a raise
ReplyIs that Matt Berry narrating at the end?
ReplySo… not to be that paranoid guy, but in a post 9/11 world there are extremely hazardous trains that will stop regularly, only have two workers, minimal inspection AND people–anyone–can just maneuver on and under them? Surely I’m missing something here.
ReplyWhen I moved from Europe to america: wait, you have no fast trains for people or goods? For someone from EU, this is really unbelievable.
ReplyFor those people crossing a standstill train by ducking under it, a train cannot and will not accelerate quickly. You will get lots of early warnings when it actually does. Not need to panic about that.
ReplyThe scare is what they carry and if they can brake at all times when stuff happens.
Last year 67 people, most of them university students were murdered by the Greek Government, because of the selling of the Hellenic Railway Organisation to an Italian private company. Conductors didn’t have the ability to monitor trains because the machines were never repaired and the Railway Operation Center was dismantled. So a freight train carrying an unknown substance was running along the same line as the passenger train with which collided. Of course, the government denies accountability.
ReplyThe Hellenic Railway Organisation was sold for 30mil Euros. 30 mil.
Ringo starr narrated the british thomas the tank engine.
ReplyThey got Matt Berry to Narrate the ending.
Brilliant 😂😂
Is that Matt Berry in the closing tale? 😀
Replymatt berry <3
ReplyThat was the best piece of cinema you’ve ever had on this show. A gripping rollercoaster of emotions!
ReplyMy town had a close call with a train derailment when a train exploded a mile and a half away from Casselton.
ReplyHow come you haven’t talked about Ireland John Oliver?
ReplyMatt Berry is amazing. I wish he’d sarcastically narrate all of Thomas The Tank Engine.
ReplyNow I have to see the whole Adam Savage Tested episode that shows the whole animation process showing Thomas’ entire damnation.
Replyi worked in a paper mill in northeastern New York state for eleven years. I worked in the chemical plant part of the process. Most of our process chemicals came in by rail. If people knew the stuff that came through their towns on those trains, they would probably shit an eggroll or two… Sodium chlorate, caustic soda, anhydrous ammonia, non-odorized liquified petroleum gas… the crude oil coming from the tar sands in Alberta is just a small part of that hazardous material. Not only that, but CPKC and Norfolk-Southern also run along Lake Champlain on what was the old Delaware & Hudson Bridge Line into Quebec. There have been several derailments over the years, dumping cars into the lake, even a couple of locomotive fires due to engine issues.
ReplyOMG I remember that Thomas episode didn’t realise it was so fucked up as a kid 😂 love for my mum who always made me watch BBC to learn English and toughen me up
