not sure if everyone is understanding this is a skit emma was in on in which she’s embodying a bit of her character on ‘the curse.’ if you haven’t seen it, whitney is a rather uptight woman of the “karen” variety who is obsessed with maintaining a good public image to a meticulous degree. also, her marriage to nathan’s character, asher, is … a bit detached and uncomfortable, which is without question what the two of them were playing at here.

the curse is a masterfully executed social critique on performative activism, the more harrowing truth that tends to shatter the facade of reality, and myriad other things.

    but emma’s toe 😭 hopefully she’s ok ❤️

Seems to me Fielder is doing a Joaquin Phoenix bit like on Letterman.

I didn’t like it, I don’t understand this kind of humor, it’s just not funny to me, maybe it works in another format, but not in this show. It’s clear that Emma is uncomfortable

This Nathan Fielder guy is the new CHARLES GRODIN!! “I new that I recognized that kind of humor!” Watch Charles Grodin on old David Letterman shows and you will see/you will totally agree! 😃 Those interviews are probably here on YOUTUBE!!

He is dresses up like a 18 year old in the early 2000’s, attention is hell of a drug.

I love Emma stone, but with this guy in the mix, I had to turn the video off.
Unbearable, regardless if this is intended to be a character or not.
