Author Doug Melville chats with Charlamagne Tha God about what inspired him to write “Invisible Generals” about the untold story of America’s first Black generals, why he encourages others to go out and get their own family stories to take control of the narrative, and how Americans can help better honor their veterans without glorifying war. #DailyShow #Comedy

Now you just need to turn it into a movie. Hopefully by anyone other than Tyler Perry. Unless you want “I Can Do Airport Security By Myself.” Maybe Oprah would fund it.

Black Americans are amazing, and their love for this country despite how it treats them… Amazing.

I’m an angry old white guy (72). In 1958 or 59, I bought a book (one of many) from “My Weekly Reader” in elem. school. A biography: “George Washington Carver”. That was in Salem, MA, where I also learned about the Boston “Massacre” and a man named Crispus Attucks. I’ve read alot since then, forgetting most of what I’ve read. I may offend some, but I’ve never been a fan of Black History Month or even “Black” history. It’s American history and should be included in every era because Americans of African descent have created history in every era. There’s way too much of it to confine to the shortest and one of the coldest months of the year😊. I can understand the need to highlight it though.
