How different would it be if the ceo’s could be charged with manslaughter for things like this?

I watch a lot of industrial disasters through history videos. And from triangle wastecoat factory, to hawks nest tunnel disaster, to the hamlet chicken processing plant fire, can be traced back to the people in charge knew of the danger, knew people would die, and places money over the value of human life.

Not just in America, though I could add hundreds to that list alone.

Bhopal (same company as hawksnest tunnel, bringing their estimated death toll to the tens of thousands. Company is still prominate today). Sampoong department store collapse (ceo was held accountable, at least a little). Lurongyu 2682 mutiny murders (hunger games but on a ship after the employees found out is was essentially a slave labor sitiation. Survivors were jailed, but not the company who were using contract loopholes to not pay them for multiple years of labor)

    I can keep going.

At this point, I wouldn’t get on a bus if Boeng had anything to do with manufacturing it. Yikes!🤯

As a massive avgeek, I’ve also wondered how Boeing fell this far…

    …I’m shocked I _didn’t_ see this coming.

At this point both political parties in DC are complicit with this crap. Taking no action is the same as taking an action.

Well Boeing’s stock is struggling and Airbus is doing well. I guess they didn’t even succeed at raising their stock prices.

IIRC McDonnell Douglas went down and was forced to merge after the MD-80 fiasco
I also recall it was an Alaska Airlines MD-80 that went down.
Why does this company Alaska keep falling for the same corporate (r@%?

I remember when these disasters happened. It was so horrific that it was far more than just negligent. People would have gone to prison for something like Willful Negligent Homicide on a MASSIVE Scale! That’s not the correct term for the charge. Maybe someone can correct me. But you get my drift. It was so bad that what those monsters did was damned close to MASS MURDER! But they were rich and incorporated so they dodged responsibility. . . . as is typical in America.
