In part two of her interview, “Hello Molly!” author Molly Shannon confides that while trying to break into show business, she and a friend successfully scammed top agents by posing as associates of the playwright David Mamet. Molly’s memoir, “Hello Molly!” is available everywhere now. #Colbert #HelloMolly #MollyShannon
Wow… Her life should be a serial drama… that is a neat sales trick prior to internet…
ReplyLegend.
ReplyShe’s so lovely and hilarious. I just love Molly.
ReplyDavid Mamet is a Trump & Sarah Palin fan–not so amazing.
ReplyOh Molly! You are not a hustler. You are a survivor! Love you~GG
ReplyGreat story. The girl’s got chutzpah!
ReplyShe admitted to conning others. Wondering what’s going on in society, that people can’t see that’s a problem!
It’s why we have dangerous con men like putin and trump – because society couldn’t see their dark minds when they only did “minor” immoral things. If Molly so easily admits to this, you know she’s done worse things for self-gain.
When ordinary people enjoy getting fooled by masterful charming con men/con women, society becomes a worse place.
ReplyWould you vote for another charming con woman (ivanka trump)? She will enter politics, but will be 100x worse than her “daddy”.
Wow wonderful Molly, so full of life and joy. Love her.
ReplyMolly Shannon makes this world a better place as does your whole crew , thank you Steven Colbert .
ReplyWoman is exhausting!
ReplyA lot of people don’t give Molly Shannon credit for this, but she’s really one of the big reasons SNL is still on the air today, and NBC didn’t fire Lorne Michaels.
ReplyI like you Molly 🙂 thanks Colbert and crew for having her on
ReplyVivacious, gigglelicious, effervescent Molly! Love you!
ReplyI love Molly and Stephen. American Masters.
