So far I like enraged-bowtie-guy for the sheer gusto with which he banged that gavel. If he can keep up that level of Senator Orrin Hatch-level crabbiness I’m all for him.

I’m so old I remember being told incessantly that Bernie bros and greens betrayed hillary by not voting for her. I don’t know why I’m mentioning this.

All the House Republicans were upset with being the first and currently only Republicans to have a vote of no confidence of their Speaker. But apparently they weren’t overly concerned with the same with being the first to have a two impeached president, and may very well be the first ex-president to go into jail.

Apparently they were surprised that the Democrats out maneuvered them politically, and they have to now deal with Republicans going after other Republicans.

Trust me, Trump does not want to be speaker.. No way he wants to work a job that involves actual work… He would have to show up, play the role, which he would have to train for, and be the conductor of the House, which he has no clue how it operates… Then he’d be spending all day with Perjury Traitor Green and other people he likely despises.. No, he prefers the POTUS, where he can have 24 hour “Executive Time”, come out, make a speech, degrade some reporters, and retreat back to his palace of a prison that they call the White House… then jump on a jet and make some back room deals with Putin far away from any accountability to the American People… ohh, and he wants to pardon the J6thers and execute his top General…

In 1923, Hitler tried to take over the German government but failed. In 1932, the Nazi party held the majority but not enough to hold control. They, with the support of conservative elite, were able to threaten and vote Hitler in as chancellor.

On January 6, 2020, Trump failed his coup attempt. Now in 2023, he’s trying to get the Republican party to put him in as Speaker of the House, which is 3rd in line for the office of President.

History is trying to repeat itself.

Of course he would be open to it. Not only would he prob be safe from his current legal issues but he would ALSO be 3rd in line to becoming the PRESIDENT AGAIN. Win Win.

I mean, look at all he’s done from his resort and imagine what he could do as head of the House of Reps. Absolutely ridiculous…

The GOP win in 2022 was less of a red wave and more of an arterial bleed out on the constitution of America

Too bad speaker isn’t allowed if he is under indictment of felonies with more than 2 years penalty. Oops.
