Im trying to remain skeptical, but with every article I read, Amazons AMA59K seems more like a pivotal turning point in technological advancement.

Liz… your party set the stage for a dictator to take over… and as for anti-semitism, yes it’s an issue, but the left isn’t the problem. Extreme right wing are extremely anti-semititic.. remember Donald Trump taking up for the KKK?? They don’t like the Jews either.. Remember the men in khakis screaming, the jews will not replace us? And he did nothing? People run over by white supremacists, and he said, there were good people on both sides? Republicans do not respect the Jewish people, they only want to convert them to whatever form of Christianity they support.

    Colbert: “Liz, really?”
He tried so hard to hold in calling her on her crap. He finally had enough.

Stephen, I’m so pleased you’re back. BUT … why are you jumping down your **guest’s** throat so much? She has something to say. Your audience are smart enough to assess it for themselves: they don’t need you to tell them.

I don’t disagree what Liz is saying that you can’t lump every Republican into a single group of racist, power mongers. There are a few who aren’t that way, but they are very few. American Republicans ARE the party of racism, hate- and fear-mongering.

Both Liz and Stephen seemed nervous about this interview, and attemtping to tackle hard questions was wonderful to see. Being a Republican, she’s not his usual guest by a very long shot, but this was a good interview, and I could’ve watched this one for a bit more time. As someone who could NEVER vote Republican, I would love to see Stephen and company invite on another Republican or two, if you could find one moderate and level-headed enough to try to talk about issues. This really felt like an important moment.

An arsonist who wants credit for handing the firemen a few buckets of water. No sense of responsibility for her enabling and support of tRump and the many politicians before (I think that’s what Colbert was trying to gently get at here), durning and after her that are the brick and mortar support of tRump and his kind. tRump did not vote to acquit himself. Her buddies did. True she was part of an attempt at an emergency solution but she and many before her also contributed greatly to create the emergency in the first place.

She does not seem ready to face that obvious truth. Trump did not suddenly fall out of the sky. Given who her father is, I can understand that self-accountability is not an option.

Politicians are supposed to be public servants of the people and the country. Citizens United, etc, etc. has turned the focus to simply making more money. So you attract people who want to get rich, not who want to serve the country. Why do you think CEOs are running for president (Bloomberg, etc.)? Because they want to be of service? tRump is simply the latest point on the pyramid. He’s supported by a Long history that lead up to this moment. Cheers.

Standing up against genocide is not anti-semitism. Zionism isn’t Judaism.

The day after the UK voted in Brexit, the top Google search was “what does Brexit mean”. We can’t let that happen to our country and have the top Google search after the 2024 election be “what is a dictator?” Vote, vote, vote against trump.
