Stephen A is great at his job. He’s a professional “hater,” but that’s the job. 😂

Lance Stroll in Formula 1 is the best example of a sports nepo baby.

Stephen once made 17 shots in a row to secure a college scholarship.

Sports with a high buy-in, such as racing or equestrian sports, do have something that looks a lot like nepotism. Although I will accept that it might not be exactly the same. Could just be family tradition.. But they sure have an easier start of it than someone who doesnt have parents in the sport. And they often keep competing in spite of never actually winning a big event.

Nothing is 100% a meritocracy – but sports is the closest thing we got.

They need equity in sports. Not enough Asians playing in the NBA or NFL.

exception to 1:06// NHL players have been known to come from the same families. some families had many sons and a father play in the NHL. Howe for example.
It takes a sport to have been a sport for more than a few generations before the offspring of the Few that played can breed
some NFL players have as many a 6 kids. but not of them r male // NBA has gone international so fast that breeding was not able to keep up.
and there r more spots going to players that r New to the sport, family wise.
to have Nepotism have to have athletes that breed a Babe Ruth does not even get to |Manage the yankees, let alone breed a son into the sport.
George Washington was not able to breed. some men are just not to make babies, due to their Position in society. God seems to Will this, from past time to present time.
a lot of politicians have daughters, which are the 2nd class of the sexes.. huckabee has a daughter that is now a Gov. whoa-ken she is 100%, without a ball sac to weigh her down

Thanasis Antetokounmpo is Giannis’ _older_ brother. And there’s no way he would be in the NBA if it weren’t for Giannis.

The “nepo-baby” part of sports comes from that fact that a lot of athletes children are born, raised, and bred around the sport and the best trainers, the best coaches, the best scenarios possible to develop talent. Once they get to the highest level, maybe they don’t make it. But to deny that children of athletes have a leg up when it comes to getting in a position to get to the pros, you’re living in denial. I am sure some of the Jr’s in the leagues now, were they born to poor fast food workers somewhere would not have made it to where they are. The vast vast vast majority of people can’t afford what it costs to compete in high level sports through their youth. Some make it through, yes. A lot who COULD, don’t.

Nepo babies that are actors get opportunities because of their parents even if they don’t have the talent like their mom or dad, but kids from athletes still have to have the talent or they won’t even be drafted. If you’re on a professional sports team you earned it no matter what your privilege background.
The actor kids always say “we only just got our foot in the door” but in acting that’s the hardest part.
