Weird how instead of showing compassion and sympathy toward a people that are held back by fanatics, we show them no mercy but the sword. The sword being a 500 lb bomb ripping through their living room while we watch it on TV.

You can’t help people progress past being oppressed by radicals if you keep radicalizing them with stupid rhetoric like “kill em all” and “make Gaza turn to glass”.

    Truly some sad shit.

Loneliness has been a problem in modern society for decades. Taxi Driver came out almost 50 years ago and it’s main theme is the loneliness the character experiences. The harsh truth is we live in an incredibly lonely and disconnected society, where the majority of people just go to work, or even work remotely, then come home to watch tv or go on the internet. After you leave school there is simply no real social structure in place, outside of work, to make friends and meet new people. I’ve lived in multiple places over the years and have literally never spoken to any of my neighbors. There’s no sense of community in our society, you’re just surrounded by strangers all doing your own thing.

Bill’s gone back to being insufferable in this episode. Well, at least the previous one was good. He’s still b*tching about COVID even though he was locked up in his mansion the whole time. He’s projecting when he said that it made people go crazy or whatever. He’s the one who lost his marbles in isolation.

Bill I haven’t commented on your show before. Your take on Social Media not being social. I observe that this is true.

Bill, stop planting people in your audience to hoot and holler at you. Been a watcher for 10 years – it has never been this bad before.

There’s always gotta be that one guy who laughs way to hard and way to loud.

Whereas I’m extremely asocial. My mental health is contingent on an abnormally high amount of solitude. All socialization does is get on my nerves until it LITERALLY drives me crazy.

I agree that this American climate with guns, social media content, post covid, political insanity and crime has increased the consumption of anxiety meds because we are more anxious. I wonder what the social media content % is of Karen’s and violence. Just too much to handle then the desperate people doing desperate things to pay rent is a real danger. Going outside has become dangerous and I believe it is all a concentric battle of dangerous content made from dangerous people and places. Bus drivers don’t want to drive, police are not concerned, uber drivers are abused and don’t get me started on Wal-Mart or Target shutting down because of theft. Then its filmed which breeds more insanity. Like politicians getting face time on YouTube for being bad leaders. Staying at home seems reasonable… Life has changed.

Without social distancing we would have lost much more people from our lives than we did by the time vaccines arrived.

Maybe it’s time we go look at some pre-internet popular culture and look at how often loneliness was a theme. I’d bet it comes up more often than we’d like to admit.

Today was an awesome show because… Bill Maher managed to talk about everything that he has a personal stake with or prejudice towards… and it was in full dusplay… Boomer = I hate tech and these kids today… Israel is innocent in everything… well I’m a Hollywood Jew so there… everybody exaggerated about the pandemic… Maher has been a staunch modern medicine is out to get you for years. Good job comic proving your points and “zero bias” 😂

Funny thing is, Bill has virtually no friends and never had a long term girlfriend.
