I very seldom watch Oliver. Don’t really care about to. And now that he takes every award for the last 8 years, I won’t be watching him.
I think it’s a little ridiculous he keeps winning.
Kimmel, Meyers and Colbert are hilarious and have GREAT jokes and info in their monologs and do it 5 days a week.
    Much More Talented.

Intelligence and a juvenile sense of humor are the reasons John is perfect for our time: we need more like him.

The defense of adult coloring books in the comments is exactly why Jimmy made the comment. Every time I’ve bought one for someone i shake my head at myself thinking, “Someone found a way to overprice coloring books and we’ve fallen for it.”. Disclaimer: yes, i tried one of the coloring books but found the lack of productivity mind numbing rather then meditative.

When was the last time you saw a Conservative talk show host or comedian when an award?
    Exactly.

John still thinks fart jokes are the best. They need no punchline.

Adult coloring books serve as an activity for adults who didn’t take the time to learn to draw or paint when they were children; it’s soothing to one’s mind as everyone around them plays on computers and phones. They help maintain digital/visual coordination and it’s especially valuable for adults who spend much time alone and need to occupy themselves while watching t.v. or listening to an audio book.

Go check out early episodes of Mock The Week and see a very young John Oliver showing glimpses of what was to come.
