ReplyThat’s always been the premise of America’s “outreach” (ahem) to countries with a different political persuasion.
That it’s the wrong premise isn’t the fault of those countries; it’s the fault of our own hubris (that hubris that says “we’re the most successful country in the world, why would anyone not want to be like us, America”).
