Of all the Milton Berle anecdotes I’ve heard, this is, so far, the latest.
ReplyHe should be next president.
ReplyOr speaker? Yes please.
ReplyDo everything you can to get a copy of The Loved One. Berle, Robert Morse, Jonathan Winters, John Gielgud, Rod Steiger. Amazing black comedy about the L.A. funeral biz. A classic.
Reply“Hey Arnie, that surname of yours is too long. How about you shorten it to just ‘Schwarz’?”
Reply“You mean… I’ll be Black?”
I was a lifelong Democrat until Bill Clinton did the White House and Governor Gray Davis happened to California. Then I registered as a “Non-Partisan” and voted for the “Governator” in the recall election. I didn’t vote for Dubya. Sure, Arnold was a RINO but I never regretted those choices. I’m still a “Non-Partisan” voter who votes and donates to progressive causes and watches old Terminator movies.
ReplyEnjoyable actor poor politician.
ReplyArnold the sell out globalist tool like his dad ,didn’t he say screw our freedom
ReplyWhat? Did the talk show hosts at the time think bodybuilders are like the TV Hulk, unable to talk? 🤦🏻♂️
ReplyGood thing Arnold didn’t shorten his name to Arnie Schwartz.
(May the Schwartz be with you — Yogurt)
ReplyTell us more about the German/ Austrian sense of humour
ReplyHmm, makes me wonder if Stephen messed up a punchline there at the end. Need the Schwarzenegger accent when you say “he’ll be back.”
ReplySee how he comes back to and answers the question? That shows that despite being a governor, he was never a politician.
ReplyGotta love Arnold. He’s got guts. It’s nice to see someone stick on their own ZValue
