ReplyConan is trying to set him up to deliver the goods, but Biden can’t quite get there. What Joe endured is horrific, but he doesn’t actually talk about empathy for others. He talks about how he persevered through tragedy, and how people learned how to maybe do the same from watching him. Then he talks about how people need help in the abstract. There’s also some talk earlier in the clip of being taught not to hit below the belt, having “pride”, “hurting people on the way down”, and humiliating bullies. Like I said, what this guy went through is awful – and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone – but I don’t find him or Trump particularly empathetic.

Even after his administration said he never saw photos he said he did and Israel even stepped back from the statement. The same Empathy that has allowed his PR team to compare Pro Palestinians students to Charlottesville white supremacists and has ignored the apartheid and illegal settlements that has led to were we are today.
