ReplyJP Facts: Men occupy the extremes of human traits. The dumbest, most violent people are men, and the smartest, most strategic thinkers are men. On average men and women are both similarly intelligent but you won’t find very many women at either end of the extremes. Yes, the best chess players are going to be men but that doesn’t mean that men are on average more intelligent than women, it means that there are more male freaks of nature than there are female freaks of nature.

ReplyMy dad tried to teach me chess when I was a 10 year old girl. I did grasp how the pieces moved, and the overall objective. The very first game, halfway through, he says “Do you have a strategy or are you just moving the pieces around?” He hadn’t taught me any strategy! I said honestly “Just moving the pieces around.” He gathered up the pieces, put them back in the box, folded up the board and stalked out. End of chess lessons 😂😂😂 Note he quit on teaching me to parallel park after 10 minutes. He was a great guy but NO PATIENCE!

ReplyI like to play chess, but I’m no champion. You would think I would be able to find someone who wants to play every few years, because if they are any good at all, they would probably have a pretty god chance of winning.
Last time I was able to play regularly, I was stationed on Okinawa. A friend would come by and we would play. I kept a record of some of our games, and kept a won loss tally. He beat me like 5 times in a hundred or so games. That wasn’t what made it fun. It was fun because he wouldn’t quit because he lost a lot. Some of the games were real close slugfests. And the thrill he got from beating me was really fun to watch. When we were in the Philippines he was mugged, and had a beer bottle smashed on the back of his head. He couldn’t play after that, and from then on I haven’t been able to get anyone to play.
ReplyExcept, one year I went to Scarborough Faire, and a guy had several tables set up to play several people at the same time. You would pay $5.00, and have a game. I was able to play him to a draw. I thought that was great, because I hadn’t played in years.
Houston we have a problem. Teachers should not be talking about politics in class because the students will never be tested on this information. It just confuses students and it makes it harder to remember what they need to know to pass the tests and quizzes. If you are taking an algebra class and the teacher talks politics sometimes tell the teacher to not talk about politics because this information you don’t need to know to pass the tests. So my question is what is going on in America and why is this going on? Ate teachers talking politics in class deliberately to get kids to flunk out of school? Or is Russia or China behind this to harm our country?
