ReplyTrump, the first president in god knows how long that didn’t start yet another war or civil war… If he started a war with China, it would be justified, just look at his record with diplomacy. If China invades Taiwan the US HAS to go to war to defend taiwan. It is a moral obligation to protect an ally. If you are not ready to go to war, don’t offer the protection. Taiwan is too important as an strategical area of interest, the tech industry would be completely submissive to China if they got taiwan.

The US needs to be “the world’s military”, never “the world’s police”. What I mean by that is the US should not directly engage in small disputes and internal conflicts, but it should use the full power of the greatest military on earth to defend allies and partners. If Russia decides to mess with the EU, the US must send the full power of the military to help. If China invades Japan or Taiwan, the US needs to make them understand what hell is. Even from a strategic standpoint, it is important to do something. There is also a moral argument against leaving a good ally, a long term partner to rot.
Trump was trying to fix the broken alliances by asking them to pay their already agreed upon fees, so that we can keep the world order from falling in the hands of Russia or China.
If people are bothered by the US “empire”, use your brains to imagine what a Chinese or Russian world order would look like. We need allies, so we need to be trustworthy.

WRITE or call your Senator and Representative and DEMAND (ESPECIALLY) anti-corruption laws , improvement of inequality, better wages, ban lobbying, better healthcare or you’ll vote them out.
