ReplyThe irony is – Boeing makes a ton of military craft, which seems to be working fine. Only the civilians are de-prioritized…
ReplyThe only people that think Musk is a “free speech warrior” are the right-wingers that the platform is geared towards. But it’s also very clear that Musk is allowing hate speech and other forms of dehumanizing speech on the platform, even sometimes when it violates the rules. The podcaster Tim Pool had an exchange with Musk a couple of weeks ago where he told Musk he was going to pull all of his advertising should X reinstate policies that would protect trans people from being misgendered and dead named (apparently Pool had read a rumor that this was going to happen). Musk assured Pool that this wasn’t going to happen. I had my own experience with how X deals with people who dehumanize others. I’m a neurodivergent individual, so according to X’s rules, I’m supposed to be protected from dehumanizing treatment and slurs. I was subjected to being called the slur used against the developmentally disabled community. I reported this to X, and was told this did not violate X’s rules. I believe that it doesn’t because Musk doesn’t think that this slur is a slur, in the same way he doesn’t feel that misgendering and dead naming someone trans is dehumanizing them. Musk posted the other day that he considers free speech free speech only as much as local laws permit from where the individual is posting from. This from the “free speech absolutist” Elon Musk.
