Kyle MacLachlan 100%. It’s not even a question. When he was on the show, he could have traded places with Stephen, and we wouldn’t have been able to tell. He’s a cinch to play Stephen on screen!

In the thumbnail to this video the timestamp overlaps the “nning” part of “Fanning” so it said “Elle Fanni” and I giggled. Yes I am 13 years old.

Fun fact. In a W Magazine interview a year ago, Elle was asked which actor she thought could play her. She said she could see Lucas Hedges and Timothee Chalamet playing her, but especially Timmy.

I’m crazy about her! An ambitious, versatile, super bright character actor. A female Johnny Depp maybe? Her rogues gallery reminds me of when Jessica Lange played Francis Farmer, another precociously brilliant actress in her youth who suffered mental illness in the late 1930s and 40s (a time when they didn’t know how to treat her type of problem and only made it worse).

I’d pay good money to see Kyle get through a Meanwhile preamble in character.

Kidman played Kelly in GRACE OF MONACO (2014).
