My mom always voted for people dad told her to vote for, bc she did not want to think about it. Republicans, of course, tea party then trumpers. So sad.

ReplyI remember her books so well when I was in school last half of the 70s, first half of the 80s. Everyone was sneak reading her books. Reading excerpts to each other. We had Judy and Penthouse letter’s. No wonder only 20% of kids today are reading at their grade level. Covid sent the scores of 13yr olds reading at grade level in America to the lowest level since they began testing in 1971. The 20% is a very current number from NAPE. The largest and only organization that test kids in all 50 states with results for each. And their solution is banning more books and giving every teacher a gun. My sister is a teacher, and certainly doesn’t need a gun.
ReplySam, the majority of book banning, is done by Leftist Wokers, who not only burn the book, but also “cancel” the author!
