I always assumed it was the pain, death and cost of a baby.😂 That rant was a little telling about his intent.

    Bring back midwives.
American medicine thrives off fear and it kills ppl instead of saving us.
Of course pregnancy is dangerous but we have the technology and knowledge to combat it. It’s a matter of attitude; one that needs changing!

Then leave it again to the midwives. Gotta respect them, from the Egyptians to the Romans till the industrialization, these chads have been doing it with the limited resources and education they got since the beginning of human civilisation.

The health care systems is based on fear. In order to have business you will need custormers. People will pay more if in fear. I love my but it does use alot of fear tactics…

Maybe someone who has given b8rth could be in a better position to talk about it.

He is SO out of touch with reality! Birth is very dangerous and the death rate is also a completely „natural“ part of it.

Uh, we have a long history of mortality during childbirth that has only changed for the better in the last century and a half. It is completely reasonable to have some fear. And in the lives of the women I know, they did not have fear pushed on them at all. My younger daughter actually had a serious and life-threatening pregnancy. Even then, the doctors were positive and didn’t treat this with fear.
I suspect this guy is selling a book.

Everyone needs to watch Call The Midwife. Childbirth is not fearful or chaotic on this show.

Maybe because we have the highest maternal and infant mortality of all developed countries and we’re getting worse?

I don’t want to have another baby after the birth of my son. The doctors forced me to have my membranes stripped because they said I had gone 41 weeks. They ruptured my amniotic sac, I got an infection during the 49 hours that I was in labor, and I had to have an emergency cesarian section after three hours of pushing without an epidural and I’d had a pitocin drip for over 24 hours. My son was blue when he came out and it took 6 hours to get him to breathe on his own. All of the doctors lied to me and told me that everything was normal and my son was fine. We both had IV antibiotics for three days and they almost circumcized my son without my consent. Thankfully, I caught them bringing him out of the room to circumcize him. I will never have another child. My poor baby boy was in the nursery by himself for over a day and they only let me touch him twice. It was terrible.
