ReplyA shark is a cartilaginous fish in the order chondrichthyes which also includes skates and rays.
And to the person who gave you the fun fact: fish ARE vertebrates, just like mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. They are of the phylum chordata, meaning having a spinal cord, and the subphylum vertebrata, meaning having a backbone.
