I hate to admit it, but sometimes I am just a bit tipsy when I watch the show. Perhaps I’m not the only one and that is why you get the same questions multiple times. Of course, I could re-watch it when I’m sober but . . .

Shaggy Hertzog caused me to laugh so hard I may be bleeding internally. Avenge me, jackals.

I’m so grateful to have found myself into this extremely niche bit of content, and look forward to it every week. months without it was terrible and having it back is so good. also if you were going to use a can as a garnish there are much more effective ways to do so, that way you wouldn’t have to take it off everytime you take a sip of the negroni

The way you’re sending us Connections in Canada 🇨🇦 but not other bits (including your family’s visit to the set) is an awesome poke at Canadian jackals.

In response we’re hiding our most jackaly Canadian jackal comments from you. No doubt you miss them terribly

negronis nowadays usually have an orange swath, rather than an orange slice. swaths express oils over the cocktail, which kinda linger on your pallet–the way oils or fats tend to do–and “carry” the cocktail for a stronger finish. slice is fine too, but swath is generally prefered today, and moreover, by most metrics, you can absolutely can have a negroni bereft of an orange slice… so long as it’s got an orange swath

I knew Devin worked at Chipotle! I remember that joke, it was in 2 episodes. Happy Thanksgiving, jackals! Hope you had no weird uncles. 🥰

The lines you quoted from “It Wasn’t Me” were from the hook, which is sung by Rikrok, not Shaggy. In the narrative of the song, Rikrok is the one who was caught cheating, and he came to Shaggy for advice.

Basically, I demand restitution in the form of an actual Shaggy-Werner Herzog

you know Seth’s John O’malley impression was spot on based on the crews outburst of laughter.

If it wasn’t turkey day I would have thought Seth was cosplaying Scooby with that color…

The negronis I made as a bartender in the early 1980s were two parts English-style gin, one part red vermouth, and one part Campari built in a bucket over rocks and garnished with a twist of orange zest. I still think that’s the best way. Orange slices are for lazy bartenders who think orange juice is as good as orange oil and the second measure of gin helps to cut the bitterness of the Campari and the sweetness of the vermouth.

The Scooby/Annunaki plot is from Mystery Incorporated. One of the best Scooby shows in my opinion. Great voice actors, a buck wild overarching plot, and weirdly, a very Werner Herzog-esque Professor Pericles!
