While most celebrity interviews just seem bland, this is one of the best I have heard

3:48 so in 1950’s where it was phobic to be a homosexual, where many were hiding their sexual fetish and lifestyle, this man was said to be openly gay….OPENLY, yet he had to hide is sexual pervasions, until he was actually caught in the act with 2 other men. huh. openly….while hiding to the world that he was gay, isnt that a contradiction in itself (an oxymoron). Or is it stated that way to further present the lettered community as a civil rights movement of the black community (despite they having continuously faslsely rode the backs of the actual black civil rights movement fight for civilised treatment) (not equal), in the lettered communities attempts to gain attention and prestige to their homesexual lifestyle and beliefs, to justify and rationalise their inherent sexual fetishes.

Its at these times that the whole world sees the US as a country is still a baby in its history, still so stuck up in, literally, black or white.

The movie is fantastic. Very high energy, very modern techniques (every word moves the story by a mile and it’s not spoon-fed) and also really deep, I look forward to another viewing. Wonderful to hear from this beautiful actor. So amazing to learn more about Rustin in such a powerful way.

It’s amazing. Until this movie I had not read about this tremendous figure in our recent history of civil rights in this country. Schools are so extraordinarily important and we need to be teaching and learning MORE … not banning books and learning less – whitewashing and further dumbing down what our kids are learning. And wow do I miss the Obamas. They are SUCH brilliant, amazing, loving human beings.

Stephen Colbert is also one of the best around!

Rusting is so good. A fascinating look as to how large scale marches/protests were networked and organized.

Wow. One clip. What an amazing actor. I’m resubscribing to Netflix. Everybody in America and the world who feels they aren’t enough should study that clip. Should learn about Bayard Rustin. (If anybody has told you something bad needs to happen to other people for you to be safe…you are being lied to. If someone tells you you could’ve been more but they gave it to somebody else… you are being lied to.)
