Back in the 90s in the big 10 it was common knowledge that athletes got perks in form of meal money ( cash) from alumi boosters. The hypocrisy and wink wink nature is a bad precidence. Universities make millions on these guys. Better to be transparent and equitable. Not like it’s going to distract anyone from phony classes they ghost
Don’t get me wrong, universities screw their athletes over, but I could see this making some athletes absolutely insufferable for others on campus to deal with.
Instructor: Alan, stop distracting others in the class.
The two truths that student athletes earning money will create. Entitled players who will waste money and players who will get themselves hurt and killed sooner by being even more stupid and irresponsible then they are now. It’s nice to see that the NCAA doesn’t give a rats ass about the academics and or the student and treats standards as a malleable concept that is as fake as the idea that football players should bother attending classes at all.
