The Republican party already pushes no COPS and COPS pay, the COPS are to keep the Republican Party from dying, and to DIE for the Republican party, hourly, but if cops want something, the Republican Party says. No

One of the very first calls I responded to, as a rookie cop with the Patrol Supervisor, was a report of a guy lying in the middle of a busy street in the early evening.
We leaned over him and asked if he needed help. He snarled like an animal and said “I’m going to tear your throat out with my teeth”.
My SGT stepped back and pulled his weapon so I did the same thing. It was the first time I pointed my gun at a human being. Afterwards I felt like throwing up. The man thought he was a werewolf. My SGT casually said “Lycanthropy, I’ve seen it before”.
The point is I was not trained for psychiatric emergencies. Pointing my pistol at him was probably not helping but it’s all I had.
“Defund the Police” is a terrible and inaccurate name for what we are trying to accomplish. But the far Right would create a false narrative regardless of what our effort was called.
Republicans are at war with being the minority and lying is their strategic weapon.

It truly horrifies me what would happen if these kind of radicals controlled out country’s government

So…….How do you FIX the roof when people are constantly shooting holes in it??
If the roof constantly springs new leaks from new bullet holes, how can you get rid of the buckets??

By that logic, some of that water will try to rapidly erode and corrode the roof, frequently and determinedly.
We’ve needed some sort of police for millennia. You’re not gonna solve crime problems in in a few years, in a generation that’s more entitled and addicted than ever!
Can this person name just 1 civilisation, in any point in time, that has been without crime without the use of police?!
I wish police were not needed, but they’re the only thing that protects us from total anarchy.

Abolishing police no, fixing the american economy= less police funding, less crime, and less bad things. Am i right or wrong

I’m for cutting funding by, say, 40%.
I’m not for completely abolishing the police.
I think anyone who is with me on that
needs to make sure they’re very clearly saying that and being understood.

Moral of the story here is that roofers are the real heroes

If you remove the buckets, then there will be more leaks. Now you are trying to figure out the why you’re ac is broken but you house is flooded.

This language simply defeats the objective before it can be addressed. Why is this so difficult?

You see! There are a lot of people who can inspire leaders to take a right course, but why hasn’t anyone tried something like that?

This idea is a loosing one and the more it’s repeated the less chance there’ll be to get those needed/necessary changes.

well assuming i’m right in that abolishing the police means we no longer have law enforcement wouldn’t that mean that the “leak” is all crime? doesn’t sound like an achievable goal.
