let’s not forget Conan, NY changed thanks to Rudy “papers please” Gulliani and yeah, looking back those Death Wish movies were right-wing propaganda

I just finished watching The Stone Killer today, and then come online to see Bill Hader doing a Charles Bronson impression. It’s a magical day.

Tim Thomerson is the Doll Man. A legend in the world of Full Moon movies. And he was a hilarious stand up comic back when he was was hanging with Freddy Prince

I wonder if they realize that NY changed from a gang and criminals infested city to a relatively safe city thanks to Rudolph Giuliani.

I remember watching a Death Wish movie showing without sound on a wall in a bar. This was maybe 30 years ago. We renamed it Fashion Police because Bronson always killed anyone wearing a t-shirt or a do-rag.

Death Wish 3 is one of the most unintentionally hilarious movies ever.

Death Wish 3 took place in either the South Bronx or East New York I forget which, but much of the South Bronx was pretty much just as shitty in real life as it was in the movie (at least until the end of the movie where it turns into a war zone). Crime in NYC was pretty damn bad from the late 60’s until the mid 90’s (and it’s gotten bad again, not as bad as back then but bad), but there are always areas safer than others.
Goldblum was one of the rapist murderers in the first movie (Lawrence Fishburn in the second).

He was right about the upper west side on Amsterdam back then. Even in the 80s it was dodgy. Yeah. I’m old.

Charles Bronson was a client of mine when I worked in Beverly Hills in the ’80’s. We called him “stone face” because he never smiled..not to his face of course, duh..
